Christmas is the festival of joy and spreading happiness among others. We all celebrate it selflessly and spend time with our near and dear ones.

The Program continued with Exciting Games, Bonfire and Dance. At last, the vote of thanks was delivered by our President Hemant Gupta along with the felicitation of the organizers with khadas by Fr. James Chacko sdb, PG Coordinator and former Vice-Principal. The event was called off with distribution of Christmas greeting cards, delicious snacks and group photos.

Everyone enjoyed the festive vibes. The organizers Anjana Agarwal, Satadru Sarkar, Subham Agarwal and Praveen Teterwal along with the host RidhavAgarwal turned the Christmas celebration a big event with the contribution of Teachers, Office Bearers and Guests for the Event.

On 20th December 2020, Salesian College Siliguri Alumni Association celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ in the true spirit of Christmas in the college campus. A total of 38 members were present including the faculty members and the support staff. The programme began at 5:30 PM invoking God’s blessings with the lighting of the Lamp by Fr. George Thadathil sdb (Principal), Fr. CJ, George (Bursar), Hemant Gupta (President of Alumni Association), Priyanka Singhal (Member of Alumni) and Satadru Sarkar (one of the organizers of the event), followed by the welcome speech by the Principal – Fr. George Thadathil sdb. Then the cake cutting ceremony took place and Christmas Carols were sung. Our host “Ridhav Agarwal” enthusiastically entertained the guests by hosting the full event which was followed by a special performance by the Guest Singer Nehal Goyal

Salesian College, Sonada was accredited by NAAC on 16 September 2004 and was given the Grade C++ (Institutional Score between 65-70%). On 26 February 2010 Salesian College has been conferred the status of a College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) by UGC, New Delhi, and into its 2nd Cycle from 1st April 2014. In March 2012, the College was re-accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade (CGPA of 3.16 out of 4) to be the first College to receive such grade under the University of North Bengal.
The College retained its A Grade under the New stringent Format of Accreditation in May 2019 and it is valid till 2024.
Salesian Publications, Salesian Research Institute, and Salesian Translation Centre offer opportunities for capacity building for aspiring teaching and research personnel of the region. Salesian College Extension Activities Centre has trained and placed over 600 youth of the region in collaboration with the Ministry of Rural Development and Don Bosco Tech, New Delhi. Salesian College invites young people and their parents to partner in nurturing an ideal society.
