The Poetess Nomita Ghosal projects a sense of ‘attainment of the ethereal’ through the course of her entire collection of poems entitled Songs of Souls. The poems written at different times and stages, mostly the latter years of her life, and ordered as found presently by the editor’s reveals the journey of a soul. From ‘A Literary Curiosity’ to ‘Tribute to Rajiv Gandhi’ we come across a varied range of themes. About the Author
Nomita Ghosal was a visiting professor of English at Salesian College, Sonada for over three decades. She served Government College as lecturer and hostel warden before moving to Loreto College as lecturer of English. She was also very active in the circle of literature, music, art, debate and drama enthusiasts in Darjeeling. She authored Life with an Author and a collection of poems entitled Songs of Soul.
