Dear Friends,
The message from Tony Moester at 92, reminiscing the years in Salesian College in 1952-54 humbles our attempt to glory in the 50 issues of AlumNews we have rolled out. Well, we do need such humbling perspectives to make the journey longer and truer.
I want to thank each and every reader, for taking time off, from whatever else could have been done that time, just to keep alive the ‘association’ as Mahima, reminds us so poignantly. Being ‘connected’, being remembered, being acknowledged are the simple joys that carry us through life day by day, is a hard and soft truth we have all come to realize some time or other.
Many times, the good work done by many within the institution presently and those who have gone by have been unacknowledged and sometimes I feel ‘guilty’ or personally ‘responsible.’
Let me take this occasion to say Thank You, once again, for all you have done to make Salesian College what it is today.
You can look forward to the release of the Salesian College: A History That Speaks Today, sometime soon.
Warmly, in Don Bosco, on his 203rd Birthday,
Fr George Thadathil sdb
Principal
