Alumnews - May-June 2022

Dear Friends,
Getting into a moving train or bus is possible when it’s slow in motion. When there are people on board and are eager to reach a destination, the momentum of the vehicle they travel pick up. Whether self driven or because of the impetus exerted on the agent of motion in the vehicle. The Alumni of Siliguri Campus having had a new leadership team with an Executive Committee in place is picking up momentum and seeking new directions for growth. While we wish the team and the event coordination of the upcoming events the very best, it’s also a time to reach out a hand and collaborate – and in the emoji language – to waive and applaud, to create a cheer.

The Good Life needs nurturance. The definition of good life is one that is ‘caring and compassionate towards the other’. In pursuing this goal we are promoting it by reaching out and
connecting. We are making a life style that is not purely inward looking or only of personal gain but rather acknowledging that ‘together we shall progress’. In doing so we help create the “good life” for all. We have a responsibility to preserve the peace that surfaces in our hearts and also to promote the peace that our neighbours get to enjoy. Let the alumni of Salesian Chapter and each one, wherever you are, be an agent of rejuvenation of life.

Yours truly in Don Bosco,
Fr George Thadathil sdb
